What makes the With Ease massage practitioner training unique?

Many people have been asking me this recently, so I thought I’d take some time to answer this question in the form of an article.

If you're unsure what With Ease massage actually is, please read this article first: 🔗 So What can happen during a With Ease Massage.

What Makes With Ease Massage Special?

The With Ease massage is about creating a safe, nurturing environment where someone can release tension, open up, and allow energy to flow freely again.

This is often deeply relaxing because it brings a sense of liberation and softness.

But letting our guard down can also feel intense—sometimes, emotions that haven’t been fully processed resurface during the session. The goal is to stay curious and explore. We’re simply checking in with what is alive within you and allowing it to move through—whatever that may be.

What You'll Learn in the With Ease Practitioner Training

The practitioner training focuses on two foundational aspects:

  1. How to hold a safe and stable container for others

  2. How to keep your own cup full and nourished as a massage therapist

These two elements work hand in hand. Without a stable, grounded presence, clients may struggle to fully relax. And without proper self-care, therapists can become depleted, overwhelmed, or even burned out.

  1. Holding a safe container for 0thers

How to hold a safe stable container for others this is the foundation of everything. How can we hold a stable safe container where someone can unravel in? How can we explore with this sense of curiosity, where someone can feel fully seen and accepted in the full experience that they are moving through?

During the training, we dive deeply into topics like:

Creating a safe space where clients can fully relax and unravel

Using breathwork to help deepen release and relaxation

Practicing body scans and body awareness to enhance relaxation and connection

The importance of ceremonial openings and closings to create a sense of safety

Understanding pendulation (from Somatic Experiencing)—guiding someone between challenging emotions or bodily sensations and a place of ease, helping them process deeper layers of tension safely

Holding space for emotional release in a professional, grounded way

Ensuring professional touch at all times, maintaining clear and respectful boundaries

Developing sensitivity to non-verbal client responses and adjusting your approach accordingly

2. Keeping your own cup full as a therapist

I think this is not discussed enough.

Many of my colleagues, including myself for a long time, feel exhausted after offering their work.

I believe that making it one of the main goals we're pursuing during a session SHOULD include making sure that we're taking proper care of ourselves.

During the training, we explore:

Proper posture and positioning during the full massage sequence to avoid strain

How to sustain and protect your own energy, preventing burnout

How to nourish yourself during a session, ensuring that you don’t feel drained afterward

How to create a professional structure that allows you to feel safe and supported at all times

This training is for those who want to offer more than just a massage—for those who want to create profound, transformative experiences where clients feel truly held, seen, and supported.

If this resonates with you, I’d love for you to join us. 💛
